Sherwood Oaks’ Lifecare Advantage guarantees future health care in personal care and nursing care for as long as it is needed, at almost no added cost.

There is a refundable entrance fee and payment of a monthly fee that secures lifetime use of your own private residence, future health care and access to all the retirement community’s services and facilities. In addition to the Lifecare Advantage program, we offer a Modified Lifecare Program that may offer a monthly discount if you have Long Term Care Insurance and continue to pay the premiums.

If you need personal care or nursing care, these services are provided in our fully accredited on-site Health Center, at virtually no added cost. And because some of your fee pays for future health care, a significant portion of your payments may be tax deductible.

There are three refund options available to you:

  • Standard Plan, the refundable portion of your entrance fee begins at 90% and declines at the rate of 2% per month for each month of residency at Sherwood Oaks.
  • 50% Refundable Plan, the refundable portion of your entrance fee begins at 90% and declines at the rate of 2% per month for each month of residency at Sherwood Oaks for 20 months. At that point your refund will be 50% and remains at that level.
  • 90% Refundable Plan, the refundable portion of your entrance fee remains at 90% for the life of your Residence Agreement.
