AARP Smart Driver Class
Refresh your driving skills with the AARP Smart Driver Course. This is a 2-day class where you will learn defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, new traffic laws and rules of the road. Upon completion, you may qualify for a discount on your car insurance. Contact your insurance company for details. These classes will be held on May 6th and 7th from 1 – 5 p.m. in the Sherwood Oaks auditorium. The fee for the 2-day class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Pittsburgh: Quirks and All
The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation executive director Louise Sturgess reveals the quirks of fate and quirky physical characteristics that have made-and make-Pittsburgh such a unique city. Everything from weather, steel, to the Steelers will be discussed, including “getting here” to “getting around.” April 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Sherwood Oaks auditorium. Tuesday Musical Club Orchestra
The Tuesday Musical Club Orchestra (woodwinds and strings) will be performing a spring program with selections by Mozart, Bach, and Lussier at Sherwood Oaks on Sunday, April 12 at 7:15 p.m. in the Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public but reservations are required by calling 724 776-8544 by Friday, April 10, 2015.
